Playing with a Del Sol
After a game last night I was heading home out of the Stink-adena area and had a Del Sol jacking around with me prior to the Beltway. I was on the phone and trying to get over a lane to get on the feeder, but the jack munch was too busy revving and matching my speed - just royally pissing me off... I literally had to coast down almost to a stop to get him to go by...sheesh.
On to the feeder he rips around and takes off, no doubt trying to entice me to follow. Traffic kept me waiting, so I took my time and got off the phone, assuming he was gone at that point. Wrong assumption - he was crawling down the feeder waiting for me to get out and catch up. Got on the Belt and had 1 decent run after getting past a bit of traffic. I gave him the jump from about 60mph and I had pulled ahead about 1.5 lengths at 130. I slowed down and went to give him the thumbs up - but he swung over and exited...
No idea what kind of power he is making, I could hear a turbo and blow off. And hearing his turbo over my car is impressive (headers, 3" full duals, no mufflers). I know what kind of power I make as well, so it was just as impressive that he was right there with me.
Reddish-colored Del Sol - anyone know who that is? I give him props - I didn't expect him to hang.

It was a good run - certainly surprised me as I needed to use all of the throttle for once
And Nate, he knew I wasn't stock - he came up from behind me... I guess if he was a complete 'tard he may have thought so, but my car is certainly nowhere near a 'sleeper' - if you're behind me, hell even in front of me, you can smell it and hear it.

Funny, I had a 95 delSol Si and a 94 delSol VTEC. I traded out of the VTEC in 02 with 54000 miles or so to get my WS6. Figured to make it as fast as the T/A it would cost what the WS6 cost and it wouldn't spin the right tires still. They are fun cars and sometimes I miss it but then I start my car and remind myself I made the right choice.
On a side note, they have some electrical issues, they are prone to lots of rattles at the roof panel and the door panels wrinkle on the arm rest.
