Me vs stroker 01' cobra and 76' sunbird

Buddies cobra, 01'. Has been seen here a few times this summer. 5.0 stroker, Ported heads, blower cams, fr500 intake, kooks, udp's, t-56 w/3.73's. 3360ish w/o driver. No dyno numbers or track times yet, its got smaller cams and its only 10.5 to 1 or so, blower coming soon. Just running it now till he gets the other blower parts.
My car, mods in sig (I think), ported intake/tb, vararam, udp, 231/235 custom cam, ps lt's, off road x, kooks mufflers. Recently made 441/419 sae. Car is also about 3540 w/o me.
76' Sunbird. 327 carb'ed w/vortec heads and a 125shot. Car weighs 2700 w/driver. No idea on #'s, guy just bought it from some guys barn.

Ha yea it would be a world of diffrence cams are wrong compression is low and car is under geard. Not to mention I doubt he is taking the fr500 where it needs to go. Car is also kinda on the heavy side.

Id say regardless of how "bad" its setup is, its doing pretty well if its side by side with a GTO with the mods that car has.

Automach, let me inform you on some stuff. His car is not gutted. For weight savings it has full exhaust, gutted trunk, no rear seats and no a.c.. clearly to you, this cobra is still a tank, but it's not a gutted race car. Nazman made 500whp on a 5.3 with about the same cams as him. Huge cams are not needed in mod motors. It revs to 7500. It has more compression than stock, another point would have been worth at most 10whp. So like I said, while not optimized for n.a., it's not like it's 100hp down.
Automach, you such a nutswinger. I posted a video of a cobra making about 150whp more than stock and lighter than stock and all you can do is bitch about how its compression isn't high enough (even though its higher than stock), his cams are too small and its too heavy. Are you serious? This cobra will make more power than your mach by miles. This is a good running car now and will be even better once the blower goes on.

Let me inform you for one I hope you are not implying my car is a gutted car because last I checked I still had a/c so honestly my car is 200+lbs lighter and less of a racecar then his however irs does suck as far as weight reason I say its a tad heavy is because most 99-04 cars are high 3xxx stock with low gas. I am well aware of nazmans car. I am also well aware that with a proper running 5.3 setup for na it would be a 125+ car and run away from your high 11sec gto even with a stock ported mani much less a fr500. Yes huge cams are not needed it all mod motors is what I hope u meant because they love large cams depending on the setup. I simply stated the car ran well for not being anywhere near what it could do if it was setup for na and u got butthurt. Oh by miles huh what does it make?

He didnt like it because you come across acting like he raced a bad running NA 4v. The car is clearly strong... regardless of if it has ideal mods for NA. If thats the case... the gto owner can argue a whole bunch of stuff... for example... He has stock heads.. Pretty sure stock heads are not optimistic for an all out NA build

IDK why automach gets so hurt over 4v cars not impressing him. Personally i love watching bosses run slow or lose races to slow cars. It makes me savagely torching the same car that much better

Alright just to clarify, it weighs 3280 with no gas w/o me in it. It was 3420 with no gas when it was all stock. The irs adds about 80lbs over a mach 1. The cams are only 228@.050 which are out of steam at 7000rpm. The fr500 is strongest from 6000-8000rpm, so no i am not using all of the intakes potential. Intake choices are limited for the 4v motor and it is better than a stock intake, whitch on a stroker is done at 6100. I could have gone a point more compression if I was staying n/a. That and 10 more deg on the cams would be 20 more whp. I also have resolved an ignition issue since that video, so we are going to run again. We also need to try it from V8EATER's roll. That race was from 40 which I can be in first and he was at the bottom of second.
