got a cpl runs in against a buddys 5th gen ss last night in mexico. my mods are in sig i made 440whp 413tq. his mods as far as i know are heads, cam, intake, headers, exahust etc he made 470whp...both cars were on nitto dr's and both cars had a passenger. 1st race was a 1st gear roll 20mph here is the vid for that. chase car is a 09 sti 460-480whp vid is not the greatest my buddys gf couldnt get the zoom in time lol and vid isnt the best either.

2nd race which i am trying to find out if anyone has, we went from a dig to about 130. i had him by about 4 car lengths again.

the chase car did take off but we were gone lol. i ran him from about 50 mph roll with a passenger he was alone i gave him the jump and realed him in quickly and he let off when i passed him lol. my heads are just 241s with comp 921 dbl springs, ls7 lifters, tit retainers and comp hardened pushrods. intake is ls6 and stock tb.

Is this 5th gen with Heads cam and intake an l99? Thats pretty weak numbers for all those mods, he should be making around 500.... Good kill, your car is running strong, his not so much!

yes i think he deff has a bit more power to be made the tuner isnt known to be the best. but yes my car runs very strong for stock heads/intake etc.most likely going with ported ls3 heads and sheetmetal intake or edelbrock pro flo. would really like to run the holley hi ram but i would have to get a new hood

Just depends on combo and tune. Two guys here that are buddies of mine have same mods as op stated. One makes 468whp other makes right at 480whp. They have different heads and cam. Same tuner. Both have ran in the 11.5 range at the track.

well that would be pretty acurate them since i should have no probs running very low 11s and i had a few car lengths in him each time from roll or digs

Those numbers are what cam only ls3 cars are making, like I said it's pretty weak. LG cam and a few others are showing 470+ on avg. Cars with heads and intakes are making 490 to over 500. Maybe he's running a pretty mild cam with a crap tune.

Thats pretty normal for stock cube LS3's you mean. And porting LS3 heads generally doesn't do squat for power without more cubes. Porting the intake does help though. Cam + bolton LS3's around here are 450-480rwhp depending on how big a cam. Of course all dyno's differ... and some just flat out lie...
