yes, he went 11.93 in the 1/4. he is going to va motorsport park friday to run again. I told him to line up against some ls cars and get some video, most people haven't seen a 5.0 run with a driver mod yet. except for evan's boss..

Yep...now give the ls1 slicks. It ends up being closer than most want to admit.
I didn't say that you don't give them credit...but...see your above responses. The simple truth is, equally modded, there will always be at least a half second gap. Plain and simple. Thus...2002 isn't an issue. For that matter, neither is 2014.

I say 2002 because I think the 5.0 is more comparable to the 2002 ls6 power wise.

I guess it's a good thing that it still beats it's current competition then. What does that say about GM? Did they go backwards? The LS6, as much as you'd like to argue it...wasn't an f body motor.

Compare 2002 gt to 2002 z28/ta and compare 2014 camaro to 2014 mustang. Not that hard. Gm was better then and now mustang is on top. not that hard, give credit where credit is due. Ford just needs something to compete with the vette now.

I never said it was a fbody motor. You guys try to portray like I did. All I said is they made 69 ls6 Camaros. Be glad gm did not make 2003 ls6 camaro. Then instead of saying you guys needed a blower we would be saying you guys needed a larger blower.......lmao

Nope. But stock for stock, a new SS would play hell to outrun an LS1. The coyote has no such issue. Just the facts bud.

My buddies stock 2012 SS camaro went 12.9 @110 stock. His 2000 t/a went 12.9 @ 110 with just free mods. I would say the edge goes to the 2012 camaro.

Judging by plenty of runs on here the 5.0 has plenty of issues out running the ls1.....just the facts......bud
