COuple buddies got together to run both of there new to them cars, both pretty compitent drivers.

14` 5.0 = Bone stock 3.55 gears
99` = M6 - Headers and a catback,tuned still has egr hooked up etc

1st race - Excellent race, camaro missed 4th but it was clear who was winning the race.

2nd race - Camaro spins bad and misses 3rd

3rd Race- Camaro owner was kind enough to let me drive Nailed the launch perfect and the rest is history.

He picked it up less than a week ago, it runs damn strong for 125,000 miles

Nope, very little is know about the car. All I know is it's headers and catback, egr system still hooked up etc

Good runs! Went the way i thought it would. It taking a tuned and header car to run with a stock 5.0. We see what a good driver can do for the ls1.

Looks like to me it was two inexperienced drivers and then you drove the Camero and that made all the difference.

From what im seeing these 2 cars would be a damn good race if they were both stock

While I haven't drove this 5.0, he had another 11` 5.0 and I di drive that, ran very nice. However here both drivers being equal the ls1 is the faster car imo, they both drive pretty good for not owning manuals very long, no super long shifts etc

Good runs, as expected outcome with a slight nod to better driving in the Camaro.

Like Mike said, 5.0 is 15 years newer than the SS, no reason to be butthurt on either said of this argument.
