This kind of thing brings the butt hurt every time. I saw a young man on one of our south coast fun runs nose out a super charged viper with a completely gutted LT1 car. Everyone called him the guy with the truck tires because it looked like an old school shackled up beater. When he nosed out the viper they just said yeah but barely. Give me a brake. That **** was hilarious!

Sounds about right for such a short run. Should be a close race, depending on how far you take it. Smart move cutting it off early. No offense, but the LS1 GTOs are slow as **** for an LS. Seriously, they are nice all around cars with WAY better interiors and are a lot more comfortable then F-bodies but are SLOW. On par with LT1s IMO (flame suit on)
It's not like an F-body LS1, the mod-for-mod power increase they have over the LT1 is offset by the hundreds of extra pounds they lug around. What does an intake/exh untuned LS1 Goat make, around 330? Let's say the Formy is on the low end for an exhaust M6 and only makes 275 (should be around 285, but we'll use 275 just in case its tired). That's ~50hp less but the GTO weighs like 400-500# more though.
I would imagine the LT1 would have the lead up to around 80 just like the OP saw, around 100 they would be even, and anything over that will have the Goat start pulling.
FWIW an LS2 would have taken your lunch money lol. Buuuuttt you are barely modded, so you know how that goes.

IDK, i have a 94 Z28 LT1, see my signature i thought that i wouldn't stand a chance against a GTO LS2. I have a CTS-V, with the LS2, i wouldn't try to run that with the Camaro.
