01 LS1 T/A vs 99 LS1 Camaro ...taking out one of our own
Well right before I started tearing my car apart I got called out by this Camaro. I saw some videos of him running a 2013 5.0 6 speed, boss intake, cai, full exhaust, tune and beat it. So I figured I may as well give it a shot and if I lose, I'll go back with boost lol.
My car , full weight, 233/239 cam, 3600 stall, full exhaust, tune.
His car is I guess a stripper? It has no power windows, no power door locks, no power seats that are cloth, no traction control and some other weight reduction done. He bought it as a roller from a guy that used to run 9's turbo'd. He has a 230/236 cam, 4000 stall, full exhaust, tune.
The last race my car will ever see n/a and it was some ls hate on hate crime. In his defense, I couldn't hear the honks on either run, that's why he started almost a half a car ahead of me in the last run.

I'm going to miss being n/a because I love the sound of a nasty cam. But this turbo cam is going to sound a lot stealthier and will bait some unsuspecting runs lol......until I open the cutout and start building boost.

Thanks! I'm kind of nervous going into it because it seems overwhelming with all the parts in front of me, but my buddy fabbed his own so I guess I'll just trust him lol.

I really expected it to be closer than that tbh. He's been wanting to run me for a while, but he was only bolt-on until a few weeks ago.

Yeah he's tuned, but I told him he needs to find a new tuner or have him look it over. The tune can make or break a car. My tuner just moved to Texas, so I'm sending my computer to have a base tune thrown on it and driving 4.5 hours to Kansas to get mine tuned. I just don't care for most of the tuners around me.
Yeah I almost went with the 228r, but Chad from CBI talked me into this and said it's a good proven combo on my car. I have to agree lol
