Had dinner with a buddy tonight who has a 13 bro. Mods are Lund tune, cai, ORX and full 3" MBRP bullet race catback. C6 is has a halltech intake but no tune and bone stock otherwise M6

Had 3 runs, first time he was behind me and hit it from 40. I was in 2nd and nailed, it stopped his pull at my back fender and pulled to the top of 3rd. Next race we honked it off from 45 and I got a small hit, 45 is a **** spot for the stock gears in my car. I immediately started to pull slowly then pretty decent to the top of 2nd hit 3rd and ran it to 120 with him losing ground pretty quick in 3rd. Final race was him getting a quick hit he had be by a fender, I pulled it back and put about half a car on him by the top of 2nd then again hit 3rd and pulled pretty easily.

Fun runs all in all just two buddies put having a good time. He's pretty sore he got beat though lol

nothing surprising about this op. a properly driven C6 will always have advantage against a heavier car with same/less hp.. especially one the shape and weight of a "potato chip" lol

Vettes (C6+) are pound for pound the heavyweight hitter.. mod for mod, however you want to look at it they're the top dog. i love mine and it's fast for a lightly modified vehicle.. even for today's standards and they got this quick back in '08... 8+ years ago LS3 came out.. still impressive today.

Right now just seeing how far I can take it with bolt ons. Headers are laying on my living room floor and I have some other mods in the work. Maybe way in the future a LLSR cam
That will happen eventually don't worry! I want to get most of the other bolt ons done as well first though, car only has 14k on the clock so it's hard to justify yanking the rear cradle for a clutch swap. Lol

On a side note I posted this on the FB lsx vs modular page and as expected the coyote guys are having a canniption over the fact a bolt on coyote lost to a almost stock vette

Really like coyotes actually but 99.9% of the time it's the owners that ruin it...perfect example woth this on fb right now lol

Nothing like the first race when you get a new car or do upgrades. I love the adrenaline of not knowing how its going to play out. Then after you win it's like, f*@# yeah lol

I think it would be a stout run man, not saying the bc I own the car but I think I would give the edge to the vette if they both got off the line decent. From what I've seen the vette traps a couple mph better. Should still be a damn good run though
