It seems to die off past the curve. I would like nothing more than to get this thing in the 10s before I give it a power-adder. I think you are right though, at least 6800 would be a good shifting point to keep me in the powerband with 4.11s.

Sorry about clogging your thread a little. It seems as though you are actually looking to discuss things W/O the dipshit fest. You are in slim company though.

Anyhow, your heads are only bigger on the inside. The outside of any LS, LQ, Etc. Will be the same size. 6800 is a lot to ask of any LS factory intake. If you are wanting it to pull up top, a 4150 flange style intake will help. They don't fit under your hood very well though.

All good. I ignore the trolls, they drive mustangs with LSx engines in them.

Gotcha. And yes 6800 is a lot. I do have the Brian Tooley dual valve springs, however, I keep reading that it is good to add aftermarket rod bolts in before spinning that high. I am looking to get a Sunoco hood on there and also a high rise intake for this reason. Eventually the car will have a turbo or procharger, so I am working on setting everything up. Was planning on spraying this summer, but I may just wait it out for some FI.

It has a pretty mild cam in it now so drivability is nice and it makes decent power for what it has
I meant the LS3 rated at 426hp in the 5th gens vs a h/c/ LS1 setup.

Yeah, 5th gens really were a disappointment. GM did well with the 6gens.. props to them.

Just looking at his curve it would pull 6800 pretty slick.

Your rod bolts are fine. That was a early ls1 thing. 6800 is really not that high.

Ok. Do you ever come out to events on the east coast? OCMD cruise week is right around the corner... should bring your car out if you aren't too far in the woods lol.

omg lol @525rwhp from 253 cfm ls6 head. that head flows less than a 96-98 cobra 4v. (268cfm)

now in your mind they flow 300cfm stock.

even with a solid roller 305 duration @.050 and .6 lift it won't make 525 lolz.

you are remaking the ls6 engine into sometith it never was. i would like to dyno right beside your 430 rwhp bolt on ls6. i bet it make no where near 430 lol.
