Default Big Turbo E Series Benz vs First Gen All Motor CTS-V

Race has been brewing for a bit. Mutual friend of ours set it up and did some trash talking. I decided to get out the house and just stretch the V legs and go to this car meet. Seems Benz owner showed up and was itching to run. I asked if he wanted to do rolls, and he said sure.

On the highway, he asked me what speed and I told him 40. After the first run and about 5+ car lengths, I asked him to pick whatever speed for the second run. We ended up doing about 15 or so... I spun thru 1-2 for sure. He was dead hooking. I'm on the left lane. He's on right.

Car is currently running at about 70% in terms of power. Haven't finished setup and tune, and because of that RPM limit is at 6k instead of 7k. I'm also on my Hankook All Seasons, and not my M&H Racemasters this run. I believe Benz was on MT ET Streets

Nice kill, any mods on the benz?

My brother in law just bought another E63 amg.
His is twin turbo, he has had a couple and there pretty quick.

Thanks.

Car has a decently sized turbo, bolt ons, and possibly cam work done. To my understanding, its an E55... but I could be mistaken and it could be an E500. Owner calls it an E55 so I would have to take that as the model.

I wonder what was wrong with the Benz. Doesn't seem like you should have destroyed him by that much if he really has all that work done..

Good kill nonetheless.

That was originally my thoughts, but OD hasn't been able to find out much about the car. He found us a picture of the turbo, Znix and myself couldn't tell much about it. Had a rather Taiwanese look to it.

This might be the one time in history that I say this, but the car possibly wasn't "proper" lol! Just another reason to bring your A-Game to a race.

Guy showed up, running it up and down the parking lot, making blow off noises, and showing off... He called me out and was yelling "Where he at?" in the parking lot before the race. If the car was hurt, I doubt he'd have been so confident.

I don't know... This V1 has been pretty beast from a roll against a few cars. They'll be another run. Money on this one, and I'll have the car up from the 80% power I'm at now, to the 100% I need to be at. I'm currently limited in the actual power I could be putting down... and would hope no one who actually knows why spill the beans here. (Kik guys, say nothing.) LOL

Thanks.

Apparently there's rumors that the car had a thrown rod and thats why it lost... There was damage pics, but there's no possible way the damage occured before the race. Damage was too catastrophic to have even allowed the car to continue driving and lining up not once, not twice, but 3 times and then taking off. I believe he may have either upped the boost when he left that first time, and it failed later on that night after the races... or he tested it the next day with the boost raised and it failed.

The shade throwing on the win is real.

Ask any racer, any real racer. It doesn't matter if you beat a good running car or a hurt car. Winning's winning.

Win, lose, or draw it's all fun. There is always someone faster, why can't people just accept that.

You run what you brung. All the driving up and down lot... I just didn't expect to hear excuses about damaged vehicles.

Agreed. It wasn't a money run. It wasn't that serious. Next time, maybe he'll bring more to the table, and I'll have more to retaliate with.

[edit]
So pics of carnage that were posted were apparently another car. Although he did state car that I raced was having issues as well according to mutual friend. I'll just worry about not being so slow on my next go-around.
