What year 535ix or does it matter? They are a low 14 stock from what I remember so I guess they pick up big to be able to pull on a 108-110 car like that.

Yeah the -35 motors pick up REALLY well with a tune. The "ix" model is AWD though which is quite a bit slower then a "i" rwd model. General rule of thumb is pump gas/tune puts them mid 12's, add the cheap and common boltons for them and they are bottom 12's. Full boltons/tune/E85 or race gas and they are mid to low 11 second cars. And full boltons for them is actually only a handful of mods.

The direct injection is there main limiter as they could not get higher flowing injectors for them so once maxed out you are done modding. And of course the tiny turbos, but not a lot of point in upgrading to bigger turbos if you can't fuel them.

There is now port injection to fix the fueling issues with the bigger turbo cars.

Good Vid. The N54's are very tuner friendly. He could have had an E85 blend in it....it looked to run exceptionally well. If he has JB4, it will self tune to an E40 blend, and makes a HUGE difference.

N54 motors are pushing 800whp unopened. Might not last getting beat on if on that tune everyday, but they'll hold 600ish whp all day.

No one has ever broke a N54 from shear power, just bad tuning. And it definitely shows on the plugs from the ones that has died.

Sorry for the late reply guys.

Yes, 110whp and 130ft lbs from just the TUNE. Stupid! I have a Cobb I got used for $150 and a "prototype E30 tune. Thats about it.

I thought I was going to win, didnt expect to rape LOL. Its just my winter car, so it wont get any more modded than this.

True. With N54 powered cars getting cheaper and with the flood of relatively inexpensive single kits, it won't be too long before we find out what the limits are. Still not a fan of port injection though. I used them out of necessity more than anything lol.
