cammed c5 vs 393 stroker foxbody

cammed c5 vs 393 stroker foxbody I just had to post this.
last week at work one of my co-workers comes up to me and asks me if I want to race the vette. so without a doubt I said ok and we set the race up for at the time of our lunch break 9:30pm. the guy with the stang has 3 foxbodies one supercharged, the other turbocharged and the 393 stroker with a best of 12.01@115 . I'm new to the job so people dont know about my car(except for that it sounds crazy) as heading out to warm my car up I hear guys talking and wanting to bet money that I'm gonna get eaten up. I even heard this "hey where they racin, I dont know either way the vette is gonna get his *** wooped" I just smiled, cuz I'm not gonna get mad. I told the guy we go from three honks and he sais what ever you want man.
on our first run we lined up goin 60mph I was in 2nd. 3 honks and he jumps me a little, but then I hit 3rd and I'm nex to him, I hit 4th, then 5th, and its over for the stang I letoff at around 155mph and he was way back there. we ran 5 times and the stang got pulled everytime. when we got back everybody was anxious to hear who won, I was the first one back. a few of the guys asked asked he how much he beat me bye .I just said naahh man I got em

I hope this story doesnt sound fake or dumb I tried to explain it the best I could.
for some reason they were so puzzled about how my 346 beat the 393. obviously they dont know what an ls1 can do. the look on everybody's face when I told the guy I had won was priceless.

my mods are vararam cold air intake, borla straight pipe catback, tpis long tube headers, and g5x3 on 114 cam

Good kill man! Especially after all the talk from your co workers. I must agree though, 115 MPH trap from a 393 Fox is pretty weak.

good kill. but I dont think that your mods would beat out a fox with a properly built 393 stroker. someone's pullin your chain man. but good job showin those other people up. sounds like your and his cars are beasts

a buddie of mine has a 392 stroker w/ afr heads ,850 demon carb, long tube headers, and the cam is around 565 in. lift. The problem with his set up is it has a 2800 stall w/ 4.56 gears. Oh and it has around 9.5- 1 compression. He has run a best of 7.90's in the 1/8 th @ 89 mph. So i say good kill and i have to wonder why he would do a 60 mph roll. Mustangs dont do well from high rolls, atleast NA ones.

Good kill I hear is about how camaros and firebird run hardly ever about a C5 and when you do have a kill they always question it..........from one C5 to another good kill........

is your ONLY mod a cam? if so which one? I'm thinkin about gettin a TR224 series, prolly the 114 LSA. maybe 112, but I dunno how bad the cam will hurt my emissions. PA emission testing blows.
