I love german engineering...a race to remember
A good friend of mine just bought a 2002 BMW M3, not SMG but manual. You know, the 333 hp 3.2L L6. Beautiful car, great condition, he's been talking about getting one forever and the time has finally arrived. I've driven the car, and I must say, I am impressed
So guess what...
Yeah, we line 'em up.
#1: 0-80 I miss third, but all through second we were neck and neck.
#2: 0-60 I got a slight 1/4 car lead on launch and held it all the way till traffic stopped us from continuing.
#3: 50-120 both of us in second. Three honks. We did not budge, I could have had a conversation with him all the way if the windows were open. Not one inch gained or lost. He shifted just slightly before I did 2-3 and 3-4, only the shifting breaking our synchronisity periodically.
#4: the only time I noticed a difference at all in the cars' performance. We did a 2nd gear pull from 25 mph to redline. I pulled 1/2 car between our noses from 25-60, and then he stopped my pull just before he shifted.
I love close ones!

Sounds just like the race I had with my buddy after I installed my LT's. He's got an '00 T/A M6 also, same mods as me (after the LT install) and we'd only ran it once before I had the headers in the car.. walked me horribly, I had no idea just a set of headers could make such a difference. After the install we did it again, you'd think there was some kind of bar attatching the cars, talk about side by side all the way from 30-120!

Nice races/kill! Those M3s are hella nice. But too expensive for my blood. I'd take a vette.
BTW He just misspelled the word its 'c' not 's' give the guy a break
