Raced a supercharged S2000
We went at it several times from 1st and second gear rolls. (he wouldn't stop at a light). Cars were very close, but I was pulling a bit up top. Actually during about the fourth race I decided to take a better look at my rpm's and realized I was definitely shifting too soon. I am paranoid now about hitting my damn rev limiter, lol. All in all my car was a tad faster but it was very close.
We talked at a light briefly when all was said and done and I told him how all I had was full exhaust and car was internally stock. i asked if he had a turbo and he said no, supercharger and thats all I know. Oh and he did have a passenger. they were like 160-175lb guys though. I am 215. Wish I was able to get more info on the car. Its was pretty quick and damn loud too. Pretty sharp looking, it appeared to be lowered with custom rims and had gauges on the pillar.
Anyone know what supercharged S2000's typically run?

Found the guy on S2kI forums. he ran a 13.3@107 on blad tires in 100 degree heat so I guess that sounds about right. Not sure if he added mods since that run. All I know is it definitely had exhaust + SC when I race him. I figure i am good for a 12.9@110 as I sit. Once I get my F11 cam in I should be good for 12.5@115...

From what I remember reading the first year production models were the fastest and like the 02-03 models were high high 14 sec cars, and the 04-current are dipping back into the lower 14s IIRC>

yeah I know they are slow stock, but like I said it was far from stock. SC'd S2000's are usualy 12 second cars and my car is internally stock. Regarding the shift light, thats so true, i definitely need a shift light, b/c I have never been able to figure out the perfect place to shift this engine. I mean sometimes I do, but it's hit and miss. Anyhow, don't think this S2000 wasn't quick, b/c it damn well was. I have raced several mid 13 second cars and raped them. Had I had my cam in though, I would have raped this one too though

my brother in law has a sc 05 s2000, and alittle exhaust work, i'm not sure what kind but anyway we battle all the time, if i don't shift right he will walk my 05 gto, from a dig its a drivers race, on the freeway i can slowly pull on him. oh and having a passenger really hurt those cars

Yeah on the last race, when I looked down the second I shifted I saw I freaking shifted at like 5500 rpm. I think the sound of his motor winding so damn high was throwing me off and was making me shift too soon if you know what I mean, lol.
Anyhow, yeah I would love to have a shift light, it would make things so much easier.

You'd be surprised at how much you are leaving on the table if you are shifting at only 5500 RPMs...you need to be shifting closer to 6100 or so. It isn't where you are shifting out of, it is where your RPMs are falling back to in the next gear that is important. A Harlan shift light was my first mod, and it has paid for itself over and over. Even with a shift light though in first gear, you gotta be quick, or you'll peg the limiter...I have mine set at 5900 RPMs.

Yeah I am usually a pretty good shifter. I do have a B&M ripper and I shift very fast. Many times I think I shifted perfectly each time right before the rev limiter kicks in. But I've pegged it a few times Other than the occasional races, I drive my car very easy as I am not someone who likes to beat on my cars, and it's made me a little paranoid. I have thought about getting a shift light before and than I always forget about it, b/c to be honest I don't race that often, but I really think I need to get one for the times that I do. I know it would be priceless to no longer have to guesstimate when to shift in every gear.

I dynoed a Supercharged S2000 @ 283 RWHP , didn't have the smallest pulley though! My dyno reads about 15% lower than Dynojet so figure low 300RWHP, should be good for maybe a High 12-low13's.

Super chargers and hondas dont go together lol......alot of people want to try it, and i try to talk them out of it cause its a waste of time. Over on Honda-Tech theres a guy with a turboed s2k making 400+rwhp on a stock motor.....s2ks look sexy as hell with a turbo on it

Goodkill.
There are two SC'ed S2K's around here and both of them are quick as ****. A local guy with a cammed/sprayed/stalled TA raced one of them and he had to spray on him to keep him off but up top the S2K started pulling up on him.

Hey may not have been spraying. I might be confusing them. Regardless both of the cars are quick.
