Killed an 03/04 Cobra?!? I wouldn't have believed it if I wasn't the one driving the car... I was having an AWESOME time on some eh *cough* spooky (don't wanna reveal which one it was) SoCal cruise with TONS of awesome cars. My favorite Cobra of the bunch gets right next to me at a stop sign (this thing was CLEAN!) so I decide to run him... I figure I can get away with launching him then this 570+ RWHP beast is gonna straight out walk my @$$. Turns out, I pull hard on the launch (he's at my rear bumper), then I hear his supercharger "woOOOPPP!" and I know he's in it. To my disbelief, he stays at my rear bumper and as I'm winding out 2nd to 6k, I actually pull a couple more inches!!! We're coming up to the rest of the cruise and he lets off, I pass a couple cars on the side while slowing down with a HEUGE SEG on my face! Cool thing was, EVERYONE behind me saw it!
Later, we all stopped to rest (nearly a 100 mile cruise) and I talked to the guy. He confirmed it, he was in it but said he was having traciton problems (I didn't hear anyslippage but I believe it cause he should've walked me). Pretty much everyone that was behind me was like DUDE that was NUTS!!! Cobra owner though I had some pretty good work done but I'm really pretty close to stock (mods in sig). I was totally psyched!!! I had an awesome time... only thing that disappointed me is later on, a few people told me they asked him about it and he told them he wasn't in it...
. O well... me and everyone behind me knew what happened. It's a true testimate to "Anything can happen on the street".
This was my first real streetrace against a fast car on a wide-open back-country road in the boonies... I don't race often at all because I'm young and know it's stupid... oh yah... i wasn't really MMOB

Like I said in the post... he told me he was in it and I got 2 guys that were standing next to me to back it up.. he just couldn't get his crap tires to completely hook. Like I said in the original post - he SHOULD'VE walked me... but "Anything can happen on the street" it was definately a cobra and I could easily hear the supercharger under the hood.

Hey, it's not your fault he couldn't hook up.

I could beat a high 12/low 13 second car with a 570rwhp Cobra
on lawnmower wheels.
I question whether or not that was really a 570rwhp car. If it was, it would have one of the following:
a. Ported Eaton + spray
b. Kenne Bell
c. Whipple
If he didn't run one of the above, I'm a little suspicious of this one.

I was thinking what is he talking about 570 RWHP? Fastest 03/04 Eaton even with a pulley that I've seen traps 114MPH @ our track. So, there's no way a stock or even pullied Eaton was gonna produce 570RWHP. Don't want to detract from the kill because it was a great kill. As suggested, would be nice to know the mods..

Well he may not've been telling me the truth but it's not very far-fetched... I heard his supercharger whine and to me, it sounded like a KB - but what do I know? I got about 5 people that were behind me I can post up SNs on from Immortals.
Oh yah - he was running on the stock tires... looked like they still had some good tread left to me... I got rid of my Wide Ovals with even more on em... but that's because one had a crack...

WTF...turbo? I believed you at first becasue I know almost aything can happen on the street and you only ran to the top of second but after the turbo comment I'm beginning to question this story...but what do I know...I wasn't there.

He had a supercharger... turbo was a typo like I said... want some screen names from Immortals? I'm sure they can clear the story up from a 1st person by-standers perspective...
