GT vs SS tonight (results) GOt the car back from the shop and tuned yesterday...making 287 rwhp and 301 tq....The SS had some minor transmission mount issues wed but got those fixed yesterday so everything is a go....not just two guys talking trash on the internet...results will be posted tonight with a video tomorrow

Is the Camaro an LS1 or an LT1??? If it is an LS1 it will most likely beat you, if he knows how to drive his car. You are making good numbers though with your 4.6 but a bone stock LS1 can be putting as much as 320 to the wheels, with a worst case scenario of him putting about 300 to the wheels. The torque numbers will be higher then the hp numbers aswell.

According to your SN, you're running spray. Are those numbers on the bottle? What are you running, about a 75shot? You might get a jump on the SS, but I think he's going to reel you in pretty quick, IMO. Good luck!

The LS1 is faster, if it's an 01-02 your chances are low, 2000- still not good, 98-99 you might stand a pretty good chance if it's completely stock and you're a better driver

Post each of your mods again. I remember the GT had cams, gears, spray and full exhaust, while all the SS had was a chip or something 
That's what I remember, but posts each of your mods again. I still voted for the SS, just because it's making slightly more power than the GT, even though the GT weighs 300 lbs less.

only reason for the thread again was becasue i got actually dyno numbers now with the cams and headers installed...gained 46 rwhp...dyno # are motor only..thats all...wasnt talking trash just posting the new numbers up..

I picked the GT, cause it will hook better and it has weight advantage oh and better gearing. All that will make the race. Racing is not all HP, Ive seen GTs with weight reduction and drag suspention and only 250rwhp run deep into the 11s.

Ill put my money on the GT (just barely edging the SS). The "actual" worst case scenario for the SS is about 280-290 rwhp. If thats it then the GT's prolly got it. Plus the GT has D/R (if i remember correctly, but moroso's track sux) . Remember that the auto in the SS is a very good auto. tranny and it will leave for no driver error (unless the tranny f-s up). I think it will be close.
This is my theory: The GT being Manual will have some better power up top but then there is the LS1 top end WITH 2.73 I think he said. I also think that as higher speeds are reached the SS will pull the GT because of its gears. But that wont be happening because they will be racing on a track last time I heard

no need for discussion on whos gonna win it was said before...dont want to **** people off posting the same basic thread twice...just wanted to post up my dyno #s and say yeah its definalty gonna happen tonight...at the track...thanks

Well, good luck and drive safe. Make sure you only have about 1/8 tank of gas and everything that you can get out of the car is out of it. Also take some xlax(spelling?) and crap out a bunch of your body weight to further the weight reductions.
