Finally getting to race an 03 cobra
Well there are hardly any of these cars where im from and finally i met someone who has a slightly modded one....As you can see from my sig im a full bolt on car with a 100-150 shot that is currently not installed....He has full exhaust, intake upgrades, and a handheld tuner...should i even attempt to run him without the shot, or i better hook it up before i race him I plan to go from a dig.....

From a dig w/o the NOS you might loose even though you are an A4. AS MUCH AS I HATE FORDS those Cobras make alot of power with only a few mods. I think you should do two runs, one with NOS and one with out.

You'll definitley lose without the nitrous. Does he have a pulley? If so, you'll have issues even with the nitrous installed. A properly tuned pulley car will put down close to 500 rwhp and almost equal tq. I'm guessing now he should be in the 420 to 430 rwhp range with his mods.

The same is true for many of us LS1 drivers. It's sick how much power some of these guys are making.

I think after you start doing internal mods GM/Ford distinctions get kinda blurry. its no-longer MY FORD CAN TAKE YOUR CHEVY!!! but more like MY AFR 165 HEADS AND CAMMED MOTOR CAN TAKE YOUR CAM ONLY WITH HEADERS MOTOR!!
