Default Good Ending to my Test

Well I stil have the car out because its been decent out here, cold but the roads are clear of salt and it isnt raining or snowing and decided to drive it to class today after work. Well after doing probably not so well on my History Test I was kinda depressed when all of the sudden I turn out onto the road slowly and this Mustang GT pulls out behind me and flys by. I observe and see that its about a 00-02 so so year model with exhaust and probably nothing else. Well his ricer fly by got me gong and I catch him at the light, hes in an open lane and I get behind him thinking hes going to go WOT on green since he keeps creeping. Low and behold he hits it and I roll out and go WOT at about 10 or so and kick out the rear as I move to the right lane in pursuit, the whole time gaining like a freight train. Around 70 or so I passed him and only went to 80 since we had to stop for the next light. I looked over to give a thumbs up but he looked straight ahead with an embaressed complexion and I lost him in traffic after that so I didnt get his mods but it was pretty much what I expected from the kids around here, they think that got **** with a catback. Oh well it was nice to have another before I put her away.

Good run, a 4.6L stock mustang with cat-back is barely able to hang with an LT1, if even. Much less an LS1, good run.

Well usually I wouldnt even have the car out in this weather but it plain sucks *** when its is storage so Im getting all the driving I can out of it. The race was probably not the best choice but there was no traffic and he pissed me off.

i thought it was easier on the cars in colder weather rather than 90* heat.

Thanks guys. I definatly had a loss of traction until I got to the top of second and being on street tires with the stall doesnt help either. Still makes me want to mod a hell of a lot more though to be close to a GT

j/k but really my car is slow, only feels fast compared to my 97 Jimmy.

Your hp numbers seem a bit low (not trying to be an ***) for your mods. What does it run?

It's an A4 so it's going to make a little less power. It's still in the "normal"
range, just on the low end of that. Probably still runs good. Dyno's tend
to lie occasionally as I'm sure you know.

Yeah I was a bit disappointed on the dyno #s at first but then again the stall takes hp and other than that I have a cb and lid so I don't see it as being real bad. I have yet to make it to the track but by next spring I should have completed my bolt-ons and installed a GT2-3 cam and will be on Nittos so Im hoping for high 12s since it'll be my first time out, just hope I don't break anything (rearend).

The reality of winter does suck! I pulled my car out of the garage to let it warm up and hear her run (its been like a week and I miss her already!) and this kid goes cruising by in a GT and gooses it a bit... Good thing I've only got storage insurance right now, so I pulled back in and parked my lazy *** on the couch!

I live in the south, so winter isnt that bad, if i pulled my car into the garage to hear it run, it would smother me Anyways, yeah, you could have easily gotten a stingy dyno.

We'll see I'm having it redynoed after this winter so hopefully it shows better numbers but I'm more concerned about ets than anything.
