Cobra take
I wasnt going to but I figured I would give my little story. I run fairly regularly and I was @ the track. I had never lost anything yet so I was kinda happy. Its my last run for the night and my car isnt too too fast, plus im on st tires so pulling up I saw the 03/04 cobra I was gonna race. I was kinda pissed because I didnt wanna loose. So we do our deal, so like the light goes green and I guess I had a decent launch and a kick *** rt time. I pulled on him about a car length so I was sort of happy, but the whole time I was waiting for him to pass me which never happened and I was happy as ****. The only thing that pissed me off is he had a quicker ET by like a tenth or 2 butttttt, my rt time was like .112 So I guess that did it. And to throw one quick lil story, my first loss was a few weeks ago, pissed me off, I let my friend ride in the car (200+ lbs) and I went up against a cam/n2o Z28. I pulled on him andh ad him the whole f ing way, and at the last lil second he flew by beating me by like a tenth. We asked him if he sprayed(he said no) but I knew he did, so like yea if my friend wasnt in the car I would have taken him.

Good cobra kill, sound like it was the cobra driver wasnt the greatest driver but thats just part of racing, so congrats. I say that because the cobras have quite a bit more power working to their advantage. Im callin BS on the cam/n2o z kill though. A cam/n20 z can be pushoing out over 500HP compared to your 315, a hell of a lot more power than you have. My guess is that he really didnt spray and maybe cant drive or something. How do you know he sprayed anyway since he says he didnt?

First let me say congrats on the win.
Now that I got that out of the way...
A "kill" is generally defined as a win on the street, not at the track.
...because most people don't care about R/T when testing. I frequently use
bracket races as more TNT so again, R/T doesn't mean anything to me
there. You may have tree'd a guy that wasn't even trying to cut a light.
He out ET'd you so...not sure that would be a kill ya know. Maybe I'm just
splitting hairs.
One more thing...how did you run 114mph with only 304rwhp?
104mph definitely...but 114? And the cam/nitrous LS1?

I'm with you unit!!! I have over 380rwhp and trap 113mph in the 1/4. That Z must have been spraying a 10hp shot or something cause sprayed LS1's and LT1's are quick. Also, 03/04 Cobra's put down typically 360ish to the wheels from the factory with no mods and he lost to you........well sorta! He must have been new at the racing thing.
Not trying to be a dick........I apologize if I'm coming off as one! Its just odd to hear this scenario knowing how sprayed LS1/LT1's and 03/04 Cobra's "typically" run.
Either way.........good kill.

You're saying he has a ton of weight reduction mods and suspension
mods normally accompany that. He claims to have run 12.94. If
he did have weight reduction/suspension mods, I'd expect a
11.90 @ 114mph...not a 12.90.
I highly doubt someone with only a lid, catback, and gears is
going to fully gut a car. Don't you think he'd list those mods
in his sig?
The whole deal is IMO...12.94 @ 114mph with only 304rwhp, beating
a cam/nitrous LS1. Beating the Cobra is a little fishy too, but not
unbelievable.

i will also have to wave the bs flag on his trap speed i can only trap 101 or so with 270 horse at the wheels it takes a whole lot more than 30 horsepower for that extra 13 mph
according to my calculations you would probably need about atleast 380 hp at the rear wheels with a 3600 lbs raceweight car to even get in the neighborhood of 114 mph in the quarter mile therefore i call BS

Ok, first off im not posting and running. I havent been on since yesterday. I will post later when I get home and have timeslips in hand. But, im not b.s.ing. Anyways ill try to clear up some doubting.
As for my car in gen. I have only taken the spare tire and jack out. It has the LID, Loudmouth, 3.73's and was tuned to 304rwhp and 313rwtq by Norris Motorsports. I am usually around 106-109mph when I run street tires or slicks. When I ran the 12.94, I had slicks on(bf goodrich cheater slicks) and I mixed a half tank of 93 with 5 gals on 110 octane. THis is also the same night I ran the Z28.(ill explain this to) When I ran 12.94 it says 114 but ill make sure and ill post pics of timeslips and dyno sheets if you people really dont believe.
1st Cobra. The Cobra was 03/04 and appeared stock to me. Also he ran 13.0 - 13.1ish so im guessing he was. His reaction time was i think around .340ish. Once again ill post again with timeslips in hand @ home. My react time was .112. I got off the line quicker and held him all the way. Although he did run a quicker ET time. My pass was around 13.2ish.
When I ran the Cobra I had street tires on and pump gas.
Now for the Z28. When I ran him I had my friend who weighs over 200lbs in car with me. Ill post exact times later this evening. This was the 1st run of the night. I had 1/2 - 3/4 tank full of gas, 1/2 was 93 oct and I put 5 gals of 110. I also had the slicks on. I ran around a 13.3 that run. The z28 was 13.1-13.2ish. Let me explain what happened so you can understand why im 99.9% sure he sprayed. First off I pull quicker off the line and I held him the whole way down. He was a 1/2 car length to a car length behind almost all the way down. Then, out of nowhere at the end he pulled on us really quick and won. The reason I think he sprayed is because it was pretty steady throughout the whole run until the very end. When got back in line next to him and he had his hood open and we asked him and he said he had a cam and n20. He also said he didnt run with it though.
Ill post later this evening with details and slips.
