Default heres a couple for you all.

I have two street race stories for ya..

1.) I was riding down route 1 (main road) near my house and this kid with an 87-93 LX hatchback 5.0 was revving at me and riding my ***. The street opened up and let me just say that I kept my RPM's below 2k so he couldnt hear my exhaust. He swings out and punches it. I could tell because his car was really loud and his front end was in the air. I was in third at maybe 40-45 by this point he was 2 lenghts ahead of me. So I popped it in 2nd and the kid almost ejected himself from the drivers seat because my LM2 exhaust scared the **** out of him (my friend was in the drivers seat and saw the kid literally **** his pants). Then I proceeded to pull on him 7 car lengths easy. I put my hazards on at about 90 and started to slow down. I talked to him at the next light and he asked me if I had a supercharger. Basically I have just bolt on's. I havent even got my headers, ypipe with cats, LS6 manifold and tune yet. Man I cant wait for that to be done. I would have beat him by 10 lengths easy. BTW he said he had intake, catback, manifold and throttle body and he was 5 spd.

2.) Im riding home from work last night and I hear this mean sounding car so I look over and it's a Viper! I was like nice....the guy was smiling at me..kind of like I will **** that thing up. I also noticed that it was an older rt/10 because it had the side exhaust and that shitty looking top on it. Anyway. I was on the phone with my buddy and I hung up to see what happened. So there was pretty heavy traffic at this point and he was in front of me punching it every chance he got. I was thinking in my head at this point that this thing runs 0-60 in about 5 flat and 1/4 in about 13 flat per road tests I have read. as mentioned above I still havent got my headers and blah blah blah done yet which might propell me in the low 12's. So again I am wishing I had everything done...anyway back to the story. we got to a light and were both turning right. I noticed the road ahead after the right was clear! He took a right and punched it (A GOOD HEAD START HAPPENED). I took a right and punched it and stayed about 2-3 car lengths behind him (HEAD START) but did NOT pull on me. A car then pulled out in front of him and he had to lock up there was smoke everywhere...I wish we could have went head up....

Fortunate for you the viper didn't have a driver.
But, a kill is a kill.
Well done.

I have noticed for some reason most Vipers don't have drivers. I've seen a GTS coupe die to a Ram 2500 truck with a stall and some spray. Quick truck but the Viper still should have crushed it.

Nice runs.

good drivers are def. impressive. but you say the viper should have killed me? It was a 93/94 something RT/10. I looked up the performance tests and it has 400hp 0-60 in 5 and 1/4 in 13. I should be able to keep up with that or tie it. I know that top end he would have walked away and there are other things involved like traction, tire size, suspension, shift points etc. But I feel I could beat him with my headers and other parts I have going on in the next few weeks. Now a 97+ GTS would eat my soul no matter who is driving. My buddy has one and that thing is scary fast. forget about 0-60 and 1/4. that thing is straight up scary from 80-140.

Don't know how big a difference there is between the year's of production but way way back in 96 I saw a completely stock, new for that year Viper make several run's.
Now, his first time was in the mid 13's, but every time he ran he got better.
His final run was well into the 12's. I remember this because after all I had heard sbout the viper I was sure it was going to be an 11 second car. The guy driving it was very cool and told me he had just wanted to see what it would do and wasn't going to mod it at all. Not even stickier tire's.
Again, I don't know about the 93 or 94 viper's time's, so if I am wrong someone here who know's more about this then I do let me know.

Stat's are good for a general baseline, but there are too many variable's involved for it to be a constant.
Not trying to take away from your run with the viper at all, as you said you were able to stay with him.
I can only talk about what I myself have seen a viper do.
They are not invulnerable by any stretch of the imagination but they do run god time's all the same.
