Default C6 Z06

Wow ... old dude didn't know how to drive or my car is faster than I give it credit for ... not sure which. Redlight-to-redlight, I smashed him. Roasted him 0-60 ... thought these cars were supposed to be sooo awsome, but, I KNOW he'd kill me from a roll and on top end.

It was fun owning his ***, though. Man, I need a 100 shot!

If you're looking for 9's, I'd imagine a new Z wouldn't be much of a race. Anyway, I'd bet 90% of corvette owners cannot drag race their car anywhere near it's potential. They buy it because of the hype and the notion that they can take anything on the road.Good Kill!

Sounds like it would have been a good race to me, if the Z06 driver was on his game.

Well, he didn't spin and seemed to be trying his best. But, as I said, if we'd have had more running room, I'm pretty sure he would have handed me my *** on top end. Won't really know until until I race one at the dragstrip ... too dangerous to race at those kind of speeds on the streets.

No idea about 1/4 mile times/mph with this new combo/setup. It's barely broken in with about 2000 miles on the motor and tranny. 12-bolt has about 200 miles on it. In the process of reducing weight now.

".........No idea about 1/4 mile times/mph .........."

this is why street racing stories, especially ones where the assumed underdog wins, are not credible and not interesting.

C6 Z06 is a mid to high 11 sec. car, stock. youve got some great mods but seriously not on par with that Z06...... no flame just observing.

With bolt-ons only and stock bottom cube, I nearly broke 11's on street tires, so, I believe I should be at least low-mid 11's with the new setup/combo. Beating that guy in the red C6 Z, I believe that I may have very well proved that. I'll be taking her out to the track in April and will post times/mph. I'll be running MT ET Street Drag Radials.

Agreed ... with a good driver and a freshly VHT-treated track, I think it would be a good race. I believe I would rape him to about halfway, then, he'd reel me in and prob beat me by a car length or two. Who knows ... maybe I'd beat him. I guess I'll see pretty soon when I take it to the track. I just have to figure out how to keep the left front tire from pulling off the ground when I launch ... thought SFC's would help, but, no luck.

Note: Race weight is 3370 lbs and still taking off weight.

NOT EVEN CLOSE...he is a A4 with converter, he would be lucky to see 400 rwhp with his mods...

no match for a 11.5@126 mph car like the C6 Z...however, on the street with a not so good driver in the vette, I can see him winning a street race...
