I've been waiting/hoping to see or run across one of these myself. It should be a decent race against a stock or lid/exhaust LS1, but much beyond stock LS1 should win fairly easily.

you should have been like. "well this is your daddy." and then proceed to dominate him.

don't worry about the "s" worry about the "turbo". i tried to chase one down a while ago, he was driving like a madman through traffic/ breaking the speed limit by like 40mph to show off. i stayed back but close enough in hopes of catching a light and then he turned off. i did notice the 30-day non-resident paper in his back window and never saw the vehicle/person again.
i will say while he was ripping on it black smoke came out of the exhaust and the suv took the *** off!

My uncle got one; he said something about a waiting list for you. Should be a decent race for a stock LS1 with a pretty distinct advantage for an LS1. But it will handily destroy an LS1, perhaps even the C5 Z06 around a race track.

Lol, not a chance it could compete with a Z06 around a road course.
The new 911 Tubro is said to just barely edge out a C6Z06 around the 'Ring...
A CaymanS MIGHT be a good race for a stock C6 around a road course, and even that is a big maybe with 100+ less HP.

My Cayman S "schooling"
I got a "one gear race" with one on the way to my fiance's house. Very long 4-lane stretch in a nice part of town (45mph zone). It was an early 40's lady driving with her husband as passenger.
I was in my 420 rwhp Firehawk because it was a nice day out. We were both 1st in line side by side waiting for the light. I kept looking over at them, but they wouldn't look back at me. I didn't want to be childish and rev my engine, I'm sure they heard the lope anyway.
We both pull off easily through 1st gear, still no bite... I shift in second still staying right in line with her... holding 2nd gear a lil' past where I normally shift while cruising and THANK GOD she punches it!!!
I immediately floor it and my tires break loose, but I'm still about to fly right past her. At the end of second I powershift 3rd gear.(tires break traction for maybe 6 feet in 3rd)... I'm leaving her pretty bad, staring in my mirror I can tell about halfway into 3rd she lets off. There was about 3+ cars between us and it was going to get worse from there.
That was my 1st time seeing a Cayman in person and it was.... good.

Again, we are talking about a CAYMAN...not the Cayenne, which is an SUV. The Cayman is a fixed roof version of the Boxster with 285hp I believe. A very fast car.
