Default Scared off a 2004 GT Mustang

The other night i was on the way to the local mall and this really nice looking '04 GT pulled up beside me and i revved up at him and we both rolled down our windows and he was like nah man you beat me i dont wanna waste our time and he was as serious as can be, ive never in my life admitted to someone that they can beat me, and that mustang looked nice as hell to but hey oh well

I pulled up to a kid in an early SN95 GT with Flowmaster stickers on the back. I reved at him and smiled. He looked up at me and just got a huge grin on his face.
His exact words were "Oh ****!"
I asked if he wanted to run 'em and he just said now that I had a 350 (I know I know but I didn't want to sit there and give him a history lesson in LS1 specs) and that I would kill him for sure.

There's nothing wrong with turning it down. I know a guy here in town with a 383 vortech SS that is putting down 580. Needless to say I declined a race.

While I can understand that mentality, I don't subscribe to it. I'll run anything, no matter my chances. ANYTHING can happen on the street.

Turning down a race is cool if the situation isn't right...high cop area, traffic, school
zone, rain...you get my point. Outside of that, it's on like Donkey Kong.

Easy to say when you have power. I don't feel like getting embarassed with my close to stock LT1 lol

+1 on that note. I'm sure if I had 620 RWHP, solid-axle, PLUS spray I wouldn't be turning down any races either.

I'll never turn down a race if it seems like a good time and place, but I don't have a ticket yet and I don't want one. If it's relatively safe and there are 2 empty lanes I'm always game. OTOH, I can understand if a 2v Mustang wouldn't want to waste his time.

oh ok you mean scared "off", sorry man you got me worried, I don't think there is an LT1 or LS1 guy on the planet thats scared of a Mustang GT. Not dissing Mustang's, detroit muscle is detroit muscle.
