So I was at dinner tonight as me and g/f go out to eat tonight. There host at the front door saw us pulling in with the TA and when we walk in he was like nice car.... and started to laugh... and I asked him why he was laughing. He goes "well I have a nissan 240sx outside and there isnt anything on the road to keep up with it!" I almost choked... and I go.... what do you have in it... he told me the sr20det... which is what the nissan sentras have in them! I was like ok.... how big of a turbo did you add? like a 18g or 20g turbo to keep up with me? and he had no idea what that was? lol. He then goes it is stock.. and started to laugh... and then asked what was in my 00 TA M6... I told him it was all stock as well.... longtubes, full exhaust back, lid, k/n, and 75 shot

He then tells me he will race for 200.00. I immediately jumped him on his offer and was like allright lets go... and he was like I dont get off for a couple of hours... so I sat down and ate and waited. He finally got off. We then agreed to do it from a dead stop, by the time I went into 2nd gear I had him by a car and half, then by 3rd about 4-5 cars already and then just slammed on the brakes. When he pulls up told me his car couldnt get any traction! So i was like allright... lets go from a roll and try it again... we went from a 55 which is perfect high 2nd gear punch for me, I did the same and put about 4-5 car on him like that.... and he ended up taking off, I followed him for about 5 minutes and he pulled into a police station! I just started laughing! I just let it go.... but he didnt even pay up! Well I know where he works... but I hope he just learned his lesson about talking... he was probably just 16-17 years old

good kill but some things for you. sr20det is not what comes in sentras, its the japanese motor that come factory in 240s in japan, and he wouldnt know what 16g, 20g turbos are since those are mitsubishi (greddy) turbos

the sr20de came in the sentra se-r's in the us... in japan they did have the sr20det's in the sentras.. As to the turbo question. Those turbos will bolt up to that motor with the right manifold. Hell anyturbo will bolt up with the right manifold.

Thats Awesome that you put him in his place. I wouldn't worry too much about the money though(doesn't sound like you are worring too much anyways), and just ask him next time he is in there at the resturant to be more respectful. Thats really rude that he is laughing as soon as you walk in the door asking if thats your car and all. That right there is poor work ethic IMO. Maybe you should tell the manager next time about his employees, if the guy says anything else stupid about it the next time you walk in there. Don't forget to do this when you walk in.

Awesome kill. Is it just me, or are 240 guys cocky as hell.... There are a couple around here that the have the SR20 swap and they think are the fastest things around. I know they are respectable, especially being 4 bangers, but when I say cocky I mean obnoxiously so. It just makes me laugh that they have to swap in a completely "new" motor just to keep up with stock American cars, and then they brag about it.

Lmao, 240SX guys are cocky as hell, most of them are 16-18 years old and its their first car that is almost worth a ****. So they think they are unbeatable until they brag to the wrong people...Thats ***** **** he has to run into a police station you could have gotten his lisence plate and told the police that you witnessed him do a gas run or something. Or just find some kid to bust him in his mouth and tell him to keep it shut if hes not going to pay up. But he needs to be taught a lesson.

Good kill, there's a boy around here who did a swap in a 240 from the japaneese version and it had a turbo(i dont know the specs b/c i have no clue about these cars) and he ran a scion tc at school and only beat it by about a car, he sold it shortly after

But he does work at a restruant...How much money can he have? I bet he puts every penny he has into his car. And its still slow...Did you actually expect him to pay up? I wasnt there and I dont know the restraunt but usually the people that work for them are pennyless...unless he live with his parents and doesnt make a car payment/cell phone payment ETC...
