3 LS1 Fbodys vs 1 99-04 GT After work last Friday I met up with my friends (who also drive fbods btw) at the local hangout. One of my buddies told me that a guy in a 99-04 GT had been revving up on him while he was cruising around in his 01 Formula. When I asked if he had raced him he told me no, which was understood considering he had only had the car for about a week. A while afterwards the guy in the Mustang drives around the hangout and proceeds to show off his exhaust system to the three F-body's sitting right out front. Unfortunately for him we weren't really paying attention, since we had just gotten flashed by some girl (why I love my TA 
) and racing Mustang GT's wasn't really on our minds 
We eventually got bored and we figured we'd drive to the local "streetracer" hangout and kick back for a while instead of sitting in a parking lot full of minitrucks waiting to see ***** again. While we were on our way over we came across a familiar Mustang GT who promptly decided to throw us a couple of revs. By pure luck we had managed to hit a red light and the only thought in my head was "Here we go..." There we all sat on an empty three lane, one way road getting ready for the go. The lineup was Anthraxmm in his SS on the left, Formula in the middle, GT on the right, and me behind the SS. I knew this was gonna be an awesome sight.
Right as the light turns green we all take off. Anthraxmm jumped out in front (410's DRs) the Formula jumped ahead with a halfway decent launch (on 225s), and the GT was about a car behind the Formula until the Formula started pulling away. I was just behind the GT with a decent launch because I didn't want to ram into my buddy should he have fallen asleep at the light. The other two were out ahead and when I started pulling on the GT he admitted defeat and let off.
After the race, Anthraxmm asked him to meet us up later at the other hangout but he never showed. It would've been cool to find out what he had under the hood, that 4.6 sounded NIIICE.
It was a pretty fun night, I just wish I'd have taken a video

Cool story, and thanks for the pic!! Nice group-kill. I cant wait to get home and take the Birdie out of hybernation... I hope i can still drive a 6-speed after three months of walking around Italy... Sorry, hijack.

i dunno dude my mustangs got slp long tubes with a slp x and borla stinger catback. it sounds good but an ls1 with cut outs sounds downright nasty, mean and pissed off. big fan of a piped up ls1's

I know, those 03 cobras sound so mean, but its a shame they dont match up to their sound isnt it?
