Brake Options underneath 17" TT2's??
hey everyone, I want to upgrade my brakes at some point... but I heard that TT2's run smaller for some reason? is this true? So what are my options for bigger rotors and calipers that will fit under my TT2's? I'm looking for really good brake feel, better looks and the ability to take it on a road course one day without killing them. Is that possible? thanks alot!

Anyone know anything? Does anyone have TT2's and a big brake kit? Thanks! Would the C5 vette kit work? do I have to settle for that? or is there something bigger and nicer that would be a better brake kit?

I road race with the Baer GT+ kit. I've got the Corvette-size, 2-piece rotors. They'll hold up to track use all day long, as long as you get good pads (I use Carbotech XP12). Steel lines and good fluid (with a high wet boiling point) is also a must.

Sorry - I do not have TT2s. I have ZR1 replicas. However, Baer has a template on their website that you can print. Cut it out and measure on your own car. Just measure the printed template to make sure your printer/computer didn't shrink it.
Best thing to do is call Baer and talk with them. They know a lot.
Wilwood and StopTech also make good kits. A 6-piston "looks" better, but doesn't necessarilly perform better. I compete against a guy in an RX-7 with an LS-2 engine. He is about 100lbs lighter, and has 6-piston Wilwood brakes with similar rotors. Our stopping distances and G-forces are virtually identical.
Take a look at the graph. When the lines are going down, that's when we're hitting the brakes. You can see that most of them are almost the same rate of change (decelleration forces) and the same duration (distance).

Did you do much research? was that the only way to have bigger brakes with the TT2's? Oh and where did you get your spacer and longer studs? Does it depend on the backspacing? Thanks!

I used the spacer so I could keep my wheels. I used washers to see what thichness spacer I needed. I made the spacer @ work. NAPA had the studs.
I guess if you got more backspacing on the wheel it would help. The cal. hits
the spokes. Dale
