And that's one reason we're changing to the supplier who built the front bar... Notice no such issues there. If you call me we'll talk about the remedy for the rear bar flaking. I don't like it, and it's an intermittent issue with the coater of the bars.

Good move... i just got my set and the coating on the front bar looks more durable with no paint chips or peeling. Not a problem though..i'll sand it down and put a couple of POR 15 coats on

I'd go ahead and put them on. Not really a lot of work you'll have to re-do with the springs and shocks. And bars aren't damped by shocks like springs are. There is no downside installing them first.

I put my new front bar on Friday. It looks like the alternator will be easier to replace with this bar. Good job on the design. I can definitely feel a difference over my SS bar, not huge but there. Can't wait to hit the track and see how it does.

Shocks are not generally any issue. Right now we're out but more coming in a few days..... Springs, those are an issue--and I'm getting near the point of sold-out on this batch.

The set of bars is $439 plus shipping. Right now we're waiting the arrival of more, so it'll be a little while.

We also offer adjustable rear bars. They are heavier because they are solid, but offer 3 distinct stiffness settings. You can stiffen it for drag racing, or to tweak the balance some.

Front bars about 3 weeks. Rear bars, somewhat longer as we have to do a little testing to make sure everything fits right from the new supplier (already done that on the fronts).

First 5 orders have the option of getting an adjustable rear bar for the same price as the hollow rear.... still $439 for a set of bars, subbing in the adjustable for a hollow. Only the first 5 orders get that option.

Sam,

Could you explain how a sway bar is adjustable? You mentioned that you are having good luck with the watts and adjustable sway bar last time we talked on the phone.

Thanks.

Jason

Edited....

I found a link to it. Now that I see how it's adjustable, can you explain how "adjusting" it changes it.

By moving the endlink you change the length of the arm of the bar. Longer means the bar is subjected to more leverage, shorter means it sees less. Just like a longer breaker bar allows you to apply more torque and turn something more easily, and longer arm essentially makes the reaction of the bar softer. Shortening it makes the bar stiffer.

Instead of having a bar with one set stiffness, you have one bar that allows you to adjust it to act like 3 different sized rear swaybars. This is good for those with a Watts link (as the roll center is lowered you generally want more roll stiffness) and for those who want the car to handle well, but also who do some drag racing. Instead of slapping on a huge "drag race" bar and dealing with the unbalanced handling, you can run this bar which gives you the ability to run it stiff for launching straighter, but soften it some so you don't have too much rear bar on the street.

And fwiw, there is also a 1" version of the Adjustable bar too for those that might need it (but most don't). It's best reserved for someone with a really hard launching car and/or who is running their rear roll center very low on a Watts link or with a very relocated PHB setup.
