Well actually there is a ladder bar kit for our cars. Someone on here actually installed one and he seemed to like it.

here is the link, https://ls1tech.com/forums/suspensio...ion-setup.html

do not drive without a torque arm, unless you change to a diferent suspension style, a friend drove his 3rd gen without a torque arm, and put gouges in his driveshaft on the e-brake bolts when the rear rotated under acceleration.

wow...just wow. Please god stop posting if you don't know what you're talking about. Do not drive your car without a torque arm attached.

I had heard of the G force setup before, but honestly to what end? Why lose the TA in favor of something else?

Do a search on the G-Force set up that ZMONSTER mentioned. There used to be a couple of pretty long threads with plenty of pics. It looked like a pretty cool set up to me. It would really open up your options to run different rear ends.

There have been a few people who switched to the Z-bars-also. Most of Tq Arm delete kits are for drag racing. You can drive on street-but the suspension prob wont articulate as well.

I wish Southside was still around. I installed one of their kits in my 3rd gen a few years ago and it does away with the torque arm. The car rode and drove the same for me, but I did not have to ghet raped on a 9" or 12 bolt with a torgue arm mount.

Unless you plan on running about mid 11's I would not recommend doing away with the torque arm. When you go to this style system it has WAY too short of an instant center and makes the car inconsistent.

My recommendation stick with the torque arm
