Hello
The noise that you are hearing is the Torque Arms mounting bracket! Their are a few options to fix this. One is to relocate it to the second pair of holes (But you might have to grind some of the bracket off to get to clear the rear) and the second is just massage your tunnel for clearance (or let it go and it will make its own clearance) If you have any other questions feel free to ask and I will be glad to help!
Thanks
Brad

Hello,
Another thing not mentioned is to make sure the bolts that attach the torque arm to the rear bracket are very tight. These are the (2) 5/8" bolts that run through the torque arm and attach it to the bracket that attaches to the rear end. These bolts are only installed finger tight by us during assembly. Did you tighten these two bolts? If you did please double check them... it takes a lot of force to compress the 3/8" thick steel mounting plates we use. Tighten these two bolts as tight as you possibly can. If there is any movement there this will cause a thumping noise.
Also what Brad mentioned is something to consider as well. Is your vehicle lowered? Do you have an aftermarket rear end? These few things make a difference.
Let us know and we will be glad to further assist you. Thanks!

Everything is TIGHT... Better handling and performance for a little "thud" now and then.... I can deal with that.
BTW... UMI has great customer service and their products are second to NONE!

also just so you dont have the same problem i did, if you have an aftermarket rear like the moser 12bolt make sure u tack weld the 4 bolts to the torque arm that holds it to the rear. i broke the back half of the arm b/c those bolts came loose
