Best lowering springs for 315 rear tire
Hey guys,
I was wondering what lowering spring is best for a 2000 ws6 with 315/35/17 rear tires? I am also currently running rear spacers, but I can ditch them if need be.
I do not want a harsh or bouncy ride, as the car is driven daily. So some nice progressive rate springs ought to do the trick.
Let me know what you guys recommend.

Choose whatever spring is your preference regardless of the tire size. The amount of fender modification depends on your tire size though. Some people get away with no modification.. others not so much. Unless youve got a taller tire or have modified or removed bumpstops, your full compression travel is still the same thing stock springs or lowered.

Take a look at Hotchkis

but as stated above shocks/springs are a package deal and must work well together.

They are probably just the stock shocks, but I really have no idea if they are valved for lowering springs or not. I always thought progressive rate springs will give you a smoother ride...

Progressive springs are springs that have coils wound up differently throughout the length of the spring causing the rates to be different as they are compressed. Shocks need to control the springs compression and rebound movement. Too much damping or two little damping can cause different ride characteristics.

I carry the Hotchkis springs also.
I personally really like the Hotchkis springs and have set them up in a few cars with Bilstein's with very good results.

As far as your Bilsteins are concerned, do you have Bilstein HD's or SLP Bilsteins? The SLP units usually cope with lowering springs a bit better than the HD's.

Our on-car adjustable panhard rod is an easy installation and can be installed with normal everyday hand tools.
BMR springs will also work for your application. Our springs lower the car 1.25" all around and have well-tested spring rates to provide great handling without compromising your ride quality.

it also depends what 315 tire you are running... some have fatter sidewalls so the tire is bigger when measured from sidewall to sidewall... i'm running 315 nitto nt555r's on strano springs and koni shocks and i have no clearance issues at all... as stated above, if you don't have an adjustable phb you should pick one of those up
