Default Kmember installation-help needed

Any one know of an LT1 kmember, step by step install write up? This will be done in my garage, on my back, since I don't have access to a lift. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Anyone? Just want to know the safest way to support the the engine, while I swap the k member. Is it safe just to support the engine by placing a block of wood under the oil pan?

Don't know of a step by step for a LT1. I know BMR has an ls1 install on line, I just don't know how different the underside of the LS1 and the LT1 is.

And yes, the block of wood under the oil pan works. It is how I did mine. A cherry picker would be better, but I didn't have one in my garage so I found a nice sized piece of wood the width of the oil pan. Don't go to long with it though as you can cause problems jacking it to high.

Here you go. BMR has installation instructions for most of our products listed online :
http://www.bmrfabrication.com/instructions.htm

Here are the install instructions for our LT1 K-member (KM002) :

Do you have a Strut Tower Brace? You can support the engine with a STB and a high-strength strap. If you do not have one, you can buy a BMR STB for a low price and get an extra chassis stiffening product as well as a way to support your engine.

^Thank you sir. I don't have an STB. So, I will follow your install instruction to the letter. At first, I didn't think the oil pan was strong enough to support the motor.

I Have used a big ratchet strap from the strut tower bolts on either side and ran it under the engine or water pump and supported it that way. Worst part about the install is getting old brake lines broke loose. And of course re aligning.
