Default Need help identifying part....

I broke a part in the front suspension of my car and have no idea what it's called. I did some research and I think it's called the steering shaft but like I said I really have no clue. I Don't have a usb cord for my camera at the moment but I found a pic online. I put a yellow circle around where it looks to be broken. It's a piece under the front of the car that comes from the accordion type thing in the suspension and connects somewhere behind the front passenger side brake rotor. Any help would be appreciated. I need to fix her up and have her back on the road. Thanks in advance fellas

Yes, outer tie rod end.

Would hate to see a parts kid send you home with an inner.

Ok I went to take a better look since I haven't really looked at it since last night and it looks to have more damage then I thought I'll try and post pics of the damage tomorrow in the day but for now I'll keep posting pics of what I can find. The yellow line is where it broke and the yellow dot is the top of the piece that goes through the hole where it connects with the front sway bar. What do you guys think I have to buy to fix this????

The "line" is on the knuckle, not the tie rod end.

The "dot" is on an end ink.

Based upon your posts, you really are shooting in the dark ... so to speak.

If I were to guess, I bet you busted and end link and the "thing" you see you claim is broken is actually the sway bar end.

But ... if you turn the steering wheel, do both front tires turn or just one?

No he hasn't posted pics of the actual damage which he really needs to because he keeps showing different parts. Like stated abouve if it broke where the yellow line is you need a new knuckle and the dot is on the sway bar end link

Yea sorry about not having pics but I took a couple today. My dad is thinking we need to get the whole front suspension of the damaged side including the rotor, caliper, and all as a whole. He told me something about the upper tubular parts. If we do that it has to be of a 98 and up v8 model right????

Damn ... definitely a knuckle.

It had to take a helluva hit to break it.

I gotta know ... what did you hit? and where?
I see a knick on the tie rod and wheel lip ... is that where you hit something?

I wouldn't suspect anything other than a knuckle at this point.

Looks like you have a broken Spindle Arm finger for one thing.

I think you should take off that wheel and get pics from that angle, if there is other damage to be seen.

So how did this happen, anyhow?

Two accidents to the same side. First one was kind of hard at 30-35 mph which did only bumper and fender damage. The second one was not hard at like 15-20 mph. The car has been driving fine since the first accident but I guess the second one finished off the already weakened parts.

A lot of people told me to sell it after the first accident. I got in the first accident and then while parked outside my gf's ghetto *** house, their was a drive-by and a bullet hit the car and broke my front windshield plus one of the t-tops. Then a month before I get my check to fix and repaint my car, the tranny goes. I had the tranny rebuilt and put in a converter so it didn't really bug me but then this **** happens. I love the car to death and really don't want to let her go. I know it'll feel so good once shes painted and all put to together but man it's been giving me some tough times.

Oh ok cool because I've been able to find junked v6 camaros but have a hard time finding junked v8s. From the looks of it though not all the parts seem damaged, but would it be necessary to buy the whole corner???

If you can you might as well get all the parts you can and take all yours off and look at them off the car
