Default Alignment with manual rack

Is it best to still take it somewhere or can you do it yourself?

Clearly having professionals with proper equipment is the BEST choice.

That being said, I'm in a location where the only professional within an hour refuses to perform my alignment...

SO I started by making sure the wheels/steering wheel were pointing forward, and on the rear end, put a strip of 1" wide masking tape along the edge of the tires, left a 1" gap and put a 2nd 1" wide strip parallel to that. Went to the front and adjusted the toe-in for both wheels to about the 1.5" mark relative to the rear wheels giving both front wheels very slight toe-in. I've driven like this for 3-4 months and nearly 1K miles with no noticeable adverse effects yet.

I couldn't agree more. We recommend people to take to expierenced alignment shop but if you are patient you can definitely get it pretty close. Most of our customers will get it close then drive it to an alignment shop.
