Installed new strut mounts from napa when replacing stock stuts and springs with bilstien, eibach set up. Less than 1000 miles later strut mount ripped through and broke. Anyone know of best strut mount.

I went with the KYB mounts through Summit, with no problems. Make sure you loosen the sway bar when replacing assembly or it will be a long day getting it all to fit or line up.

I've heard of the same problem with several aftermarket replacements, GM's are best but pricey

I'd go with OEM GM or the Moog equivalent.

I have never seen a boot busted thru. Did you install lowering springs? Did you make sure the bump stop was installed with the boot? Did you bottom out the car? Many things to look at. I use Monroe and have never had a problem. It takes a lot to rip thru one of these unless it was defective when you bought it.

Yeah uh they are stamped steel with rubberized coating.

If the OP ripped through one it sounds like a driving conditions issue...

Did the threaded fasteners pull out of the mount...?

Or did the washer/nut push thru the mount (did you install the isolator on top of each mount, see pic)...?
