Default Adjusting the parking brake?

How do I adjust the parking brake, I would perfer not to pay to get it done. It holds ok but it wants to move just a tad, Im affraid it will let the car roll if I dont adjust it

I have the same problem. I plan to get a repair manual and check in there. I posted a question about the adjustability of our E-BRAKE but no one replied yet.

Mine held fine until I replaced the rear pads, now it doesnt hold as well. the brakes are adjusted and I dont know what to do to adjust them

If memory serves me correct the rear pads have nothing to do with the parking brake. I believe it works kind of like the old drum style brakes. You should have two pads on the inner part of the rotor that lock the back wheels when you apply the parking brake. Ill check with car club guys board to see if they have any info for you.

The parking break is just one big circular shoe with a small section cut out of it so it can expand and clamp the inside the of rotor. To adjust it, take off the rear rotors, put on the parking brake, and they adjust the little threaded washed type thing on the brake machanism itself. You will see it, at least you should see it. Give it a couple turns and then when you go to put up the e-brake, it should not go up as far, but still give the same clamping force.
