Default Question on installing new HAL QA1-R shocks up front with DMS lowering springs...

I have DMS lowering springs all the way around with stock shocks and everything is fine. I bought the new HAL adjustable QA1-R for drag race application....will these fit fine without any additional parts/spacers/relocation brackets? Would like to know before I get it all apart. Thanks.

ALso, what are people using for front shock setting...1-2-3-4??? Thanks

It should go right in, no problems.

Not sure about the setting though.

No, the Hal shocks need a special spring cup, $50 from thunderracing, to fit springs other then Hals.

Are these absolutely necessary? I have heard from some others that they ahve installed them without the cups/collars....Did you try without or just use them in the first place. Hate to spend $ on stuff I don't need, but don't want to tea it apart and need parts...thanks

I don't have hals so I can't say for sure. All I heard is that you can either modify your stock spring cups or buy those. By 'modify' I have no idea what they mean. If I could see some pics of what's done then I woud try it, but without knowing what to do, I would just buy those.

Thanks for the replies...I just went ahead and ordered the HAL front springs for $100 for the pair instead of $50 for the adapter/cup....
