Need help w\ popping noise...
I recently installed a BMR Kmember, and lower control arms.I also installed LS1 brake swap w\ new rotors and pads. Now whenever I slam on the brake in forward or reverse I get a popping noise like something was under a bind. I have tried all manner of fixes to no avail. the noise seems to be coming from under the shifter area in the center of the car.
Here`s what I`ve done:
checked every bolt in the front end and brakes all are at spec.
Was afraid my ls1 tranny mount might be broken, repaced w\ a poly, still have the noise. Although it was difficult to line up the trans crossmember w\ the mount had to pry the tranny to the driver side by a 1/4 of an inch to line up and get the bolt in.
checked the torque arm to verify that nothing was loose, everything tight , no cracks ect..
I`m sure at least one other person who`s installed BMR`s K-member has had to have had this problem.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have a 96 LT1 TA a4
