2000 camaro needs new brakes
My 2000 camaro needs new brakes, I was going to go with some slotted Potoes and some nice hawk pads. Any one else have a good setup that I will not spend my entire pay check?

Just buy zinc coated blanks and forget slots and drilled holes, some rotors even come with a lifetime warranty and give free replacements when no longer machineable if you can believe that (Bosch). Hawk HPS work fine for the street, but you might also want to look into StopTech Street Performance pads which I hear are even better and I may try them next.

^ One of the lower priced sources out there, and they have both pads I mentioned...

When you say serious brake fade -- what application? Track? Street? Have you flushed your brake fluid recently?

What factors are important to you?
1. Price
2. Use on street, track or both.
3. Dust
4. Noise
If you're just looking for a budget setup with better than stock stopping power, I'd go with basic blank rotors (NAPA Premium, Centric or Best Brand) and run Hawk HPS on front and cheap ceramics on the rear. That should be everything you need on the street.
