Default Relocating ABS. Can I extend communication wires

I'm relocating my ABS unit and I've come across one issue. By extending the communications wires to the ABS, will it effect anything? I know the longer the wire the less resistance. There's 4 pairs of communication wires that need to be made longer. Will using a thicker gauge work?

Any opinions?

Wont make any difference, just solder the connections and you should be good.

Actually its the opposite: longer wire = more resistance.

The signal wires (including the serial data wire) are just regular stranded core wiring, nothing special. You can extend them with no issues, just verify resistance is near 0 ohms. Use the same or heavier gauge wiring to extend them.
