"popping" noise from front end?

"popping" noise from front end? i hope this is the right forum. Just recently my car has been making a popping or creaking noise from the front end. ive got about 45,000 miles on it. u guys think it could be bushings or endlinks, etc.???

Places to check:
tie-rod ends (& other steering components), sway bar endlinks
The tie-rod ends on my father's van were shot. Driving around, you could hear a knocking coming from the front. My brother and I replaced the tire-rods and drag link. No more noise.

Same thing is happening to my '02 Camaro SS with 42k miles. I've got an extended warranty so i'm going to let Gm check it out sometime soon and i'll let you know if I find out.
