Start here, follow the links.

That may help.

Just buy new everything, makes it much easier. Pull out old assembly, put the new one in. VERY nice .

it is very easy with new shocks/struts and springs. Expect to pay $35-50 for a shop to disassemble your old struts and assemble the new ones with your stock hardware. While your at it, get new sway bar endlinks (>$15), and give everything (ball joints, bushings, linkages) a once over with chassis lube while you're there

I recemmend taking the strut assembly to a shop and letting them do the spring swap over. It will save you a few hours and a lot of headaches.

If you do intend to do the spring swap yourself, I would highly recommend pnuematic tools and a strap style spring compressor. You will HAVE to have pnuematic tools to remove the shock nut and you will wish you had them for the spring compressors. The strap style spring compressors will go quicker and be easier to get into the tight spring spaces than the standard metal "clamp" style. You can probably rent them from an auto parts store.
