Default help: lower control arm removal

I am about to remove the lower control arm on my 2000 SS. Is there an install guide? Dows anyone know if I have to take off the tie rod before removing the horizontal lag bolt?

you've got me confused here. LCA's ... rear, right? Tie rods? if you're talking about the panhard rod, yes, it's easier if you take one side off first 'cos it'll let you move the rearend sideways when installing the new LCA's

Sorry about the confusion. I was trying to remove the front a-arms. The horizontal bolt that hold the front of the a-arm in place wasn't getting the clearance it needed to be removed. I was wondering if I needed to remove the entire tie-rod. I now know that I needed to turn the steering wheel.

thanks for thaking the time to help me out with this one.
