Banging under car
Guys, now that I've got most of my suspension mods I have a little prob. I have Sphon adj control arms, Lakewood adj Panhard rod, Sphon adj Trq Arm. I know the car would be a little stiff, but now I have a hard banging under the car when I take off, almost dead center rear of car. I am also running a Strange 12 - bolt. Any Ideas? It's hard to figure since that car only does it when starting off or if I down-shift with out bringing rpms up fully to match the speed of the car.
Any help or suggestions appreciated.

I had the exact same problem.
I fixed it by drilling out the LCA mount holes to 1/2". Stock they are 12mm, and a lot of aftermarket LCAs use 1/2" bushings, but you still need to use a 12mm bolt, so there's some play in there, definitely enough to make some loud bangs. I got it when starting with any kind of power, downshifting, slow upshifts, and when going over bumps. Now its all gone

hard banging on the center of the car on take-off or downshifting?
how does that sound like anything but a busted tranny mount?
jack the car up and use a crowbar to see if you can "easily" lift and move the tailshaft of the transmission (sits right on a fat rubber mount on a crossmember). i just had to replace mine and it was torn in half.

:duh: Overlook the obvious. I was thinking LCA problem because I just dealt with that recently. A transmission mount is distinctly different from LCA noise though. A busted tranny mount will make it sound as if the floor beneath the center console is going to have something shooting out of it at you. LCA noise definitely sounds like it is behind you.
