Default Chromemoly worth it?

I plan on buying a few suspension parts from BMR like lca's, torque arm, and sub frame connectors.

Is the chromemoly really worth the extra money for a mostly street car with some track time or should I just stick with steel?

Not sure about the lcas or the sfc, but the torque arm is about 1 1/2 lbs lighter, for $100 more. The brand I was looking at was UMI.

In a mostly street car, I would stick to the mild steel. Chromoly is a little too brittle for my tastes when it comes to daily bashing of the chassis over potholes and speedbumps. Stick to the mild steel, pull out your rear seats and spare tire and you will have made up for more than the weight savings of chromoly. Just my $.02

Thanks guys. I'll definitely save the money and get mild steel. More money for my torque converter

Does Chromoly rust? I bought some "Chromoly" LCAs and they've rusted a bit. Did I get taken advantage of?

(Got them used)

with the lca's and phb you could go with the pavlock ones that are alum.. that's probably the lightest you can do. As for the chromoly vs mild steel, there's nto a big weight savings, for a mostly street car don't waste teh $, for a mostly track use car I'd say go for it.
