ABS INOP, No TCS, Grinding noise!
I hope this is in the correct section.
Last night, on the way home from bowling. My buddy and I noticed a weird sound coming from the rear of the car. (Luckily we were a block from home) So we got it home and jacked the back end up.
The drivers side rear tire, If you spin it, it makes this noise as if the brakes are just barely rubbing.
With it jacked up, we put it in gear and let out the clutch. ONLY the passenger side tire spins.
The driver side will will intermediately spin about 3-4 inches rotationally every 15-20 seconds or so.
I took the rear cover off, and inspected. Everything seems fine. Nothing seems out of the ordinarey. Just a very thin light coating on the magnet. (Rear end fluid was changed 5k miles ago, used additive for the limited slip).
There is little bit of play if you grab ahold of the tire and try to wobble it all around.
You can't really hear the grinding/brake rubbing noise too bad unless you take a right turn, and then for about 100-150 feet after that turn.
Im going out to inspect some more! Hopefully you all can help me out!
Thanks!
