Alot of the higher HP, full drag cars are going with the shorter bars. I've heard that the short bars will create wheelhop in hard braking situations. Keep that in mind. Not good for any type of twisty racing in general.
If you are near stock a good full length adjustable one will do the trick.

It depends on the application, all cars/combos will react different.

At 700 HP and a drag car I would recommend one of the shorter torque arms. They will transfer weight a lot better. Please take a look at the links below and if you any questions please ask.

MadMan Mount would be the best.. its welded to the tunnel. 700hp is a lot to put through a bolt on tunnel mount piece. My old Camaro I was run of the road.. the stock tunnel brace with the mounts and bolts was riped clean out of the underside of the car so its not the strongest place to be mounting a torque arm imo.

For this issue we then recommend a set of our 3-Point SFC's that bolt under the torque arm and take the load off the mounts. This is shown in the picture below.

Nice! Yup that would solve the problem right there and tie the brace mount to the subframes and all.

^^^That's what i'm doing with my set-up. I have the Short arm from BMR. I'nm not comfortable with the lone bar either, but would rather keep it a bolt-on type thing.

I just bought the madman ta and the mount doesn't weld to the tunnel. It is welded to the subframe connectors and offers more adjustability than others. The torque arm length can also be adjusted. May not be the best option unless your willing to play with it.
