Default c5 brakes?

so i have given up on cross drilled slotted rotors.

i heard using brembo blanks or upgrading to "c5" brakes is the best way to go.

what do i need to upgrade to c5 brakes?

i am buying hawk hps pads.

Also any links where to buy this stuff for a good price is well appreciated!

search c5 brake upgrade

Also look at the sticky at the top. There are some options in there and where to go. It has been discussed many times.

Got my UMI C5 kit from WS6 store for $751 to my door.

I did the new rotor swap first and found out my calipers were garbage causing the pads on the wheel side to contact the rotor on the outer edge only. Caliper deflection, caliper spread whatever you want to call it.
This car had 38,500 miles of normal use.

I got mine from another shop that I'm not allowed to mention but for the brackets, brake lines, hardware, rotors, and pads, I paid just under 300 bucks for both fronts.

FYI, Corvette rotors are 15 bucks a piece from NAPA.

You buy the brackets you need, C5 front stainless lines as they are a bit longer, you need the C5 abutment brackets, and then of course buy the Vette pads of whatever type you want.

Like I said, I did the whole upgrade for about 300 bucks and spent about 3 hours in total doing it.

Hello,

We sell both the complete kits and the conversion brackets for the C5 conversion kits. Please take a look at the link below and if you have any questions please ask.

Sam @ Stranos, gave me some good advise. Get some good rotors (Brembo blanks) and some good pads (Hawk HP +) and you'll be very happy. I was looking at doing autox'ing and that's what Sam suggested for my car. Just my .02. I am now setting my car up for drag racing, but still streetable.
