Default wich motor mounts ?

i dont know if i should get the prothane motor mounts, or the spohn tubular solid motor mounts. ive heard good things about both of them but from what ive read the solid mounts have a bit more vibration. The vibration really isnt a big deal to me i just want the quote on quote better product (if one really is better than the other). I plan to go fi next year so i need the car to be able to handle power so if ones better in that aspect ide love the input.
Thanks

I have the Prothane mounts and the motor stays very still in the engine bay. Ive heard that the solids can upset the knock sensors, but i have no real experience with them.

Unless you need to make sure the motor has no engine movement at all the Prothane mounts would be the ones I would recommend. If you have any other questions I can help with just give me a call here at the office.

so after a little research im gonna go with the prothane engine mounts, but i do still have a question on the transmission mount. I have heard alot of people complain about the amount of vibration from the prothane trans mount, would there be a real advantage to the prothane over the stock one? as far as i can tell i cant see why i would need a stiffer trans mount if i have upgraded the motor mounts. can anyone shed a little more light on their opinions on the trans? thanks all

With the Prothane motor mounts I see no advantage to running the transmission mount. The transmission mount will definitely increase the interior NVH of the car.

Unless your making some insane power go with the prothenes I have a .600 lift cam and the stockmounts would make the engine go back and forth not no more. The poly tranny mounts can make some vibarations I had one on my a4 car but it finally got broke in and went away. but I would just stay stock on the tranny mount.

I think you will greatly enjoy the new engine mounts.
