The C5 caliper slips into the F-Car abutment bracket. It is a direct swap. I have heard that there is a small area on the caliper that needs to be ground to fit, very minor.
Now if you wanted to do a complete C5 Corvette front brake swap, including the bigger rotors, you'd need what is listed above.

No, the calipers are not the same.
Fbody calipers will fit in C5 brackets. I haven't tried it the other way, so I don't know what might need to be ground for clearance. HOWEVER, the mounting ear thickness is different, so if you use C5/C6 calipers on an fbody, I'd use C5 caliper bolts too (they look the same, but the length is different).
Fbody calipers have larger pistons (44mm iirc) than the C5/C6 calipers (40mm iirc). This is because of the rotor size difference. The 98+ fbodies already have too much rear brake bias. Switching to C5 calipers on the stock rotors is only going to make that worse.
The C5 calipers are stiffer than the fbody calipers (which tend to flex and spread in competition). The C6 calipers are even stiffer, but are otherwise completely interchangeable with C5.
