Tune for Procharged LS1 in DFW?
Hey guys,
I'm going to be finishing up my Procharger project here shortly, and I dunno where I should get it tuned. Who around here has a lot of proven experience with forced induction LSx engines? RPM? LG? SQR? Someone else?

I called SQR, and their initial response was that I'd have to get an SD tune. I've seen some people running quite a bit of boost with a MAF tune... what do you guys think?

+1 on that. If you go in, they will take the time to talk to you and explain things.
Mmorrison was running a SQR SD tune on his NA daily driver. He was putting down some good numbers and running good ET's for what it was.

I even prefer sd in n/a cars because you are elminating sensors that can go bad.

My concern is that I've heard SD tunes need adjustment in drastic weather changes (humidity, temp, and barrometric pressure). I don't want to have to worry about this. I'll talk to SQR about it, though. I'm no expert. I just see a lot of similar setups running MAF tunes, and from what little I know, that sounds more like what I want.

One answer, SNL Performance. Give Steve a call and he will hook you up. Tell him that I told you to call. He tunes with HP Tuners and will dyno tune or road tune (What I went with) and he backs up all his work.

I just tune it a little rich & never worry about it. I run a wb full time & just look at it every once in a while to make sure it's not way lean.

Been using RPM for a while, no problems.
